A little update from this wildlife centre in Dundee:

Recent hatchings and births include:

1 Red bellied lemur
1 European white stork
Swinhoe's pheasant

Rothschild's mynah have arrived and installed in a newly refurbished aviary.

I managed to see the stork and Swinhoe's chicks (so sweet) yesterday but unfortunately missed the baby Red bellied lemur - the weather was awful and they stayed indoors in a lemur ball :) I'm hoping to see it when I visit again tomorrow

Community Open Day

Community Open Day.

Sun, 16/10/2016 - 10:00 - 15:00

Come along and see what’s been happening at Camperdown Wildlife Centre throughout the year. This community day is free of admission charge for all visitors. Watch some of our animal feeding and encounters with the keepers too.

A couple of updates from my visit today:
-Cusimanse are now at the zoo and currently in an enclosure along the walls by the bear enclosure. The plan is to move them into the old Striped Skunk enclosure (which I assume have left the centre).
-Some posts have been erected in the Mouflon enclosure. I only saw one Mouflon.
-The new brown bears are living with the elderly resident female who lost her partner last year.
-The ASCO are no longer kept but are planned to be bought back in the same enclosure.
-1:1 Lar Gibbon have arrived from a zoo in France. They are being quarantined in an enclosure by the entrance.
Lovely little place, I will post a full review once I get round to finishing the HWP review :)

0:1 Amur Leopard Cat called 'Jurate' has arrived. This will presumably be the individual from the recently closed Galloway Wildlife Park.

Is this Belfast's entire group and they have now gone out of them? I somehow think maybe the answer is yes...

I'm looking forward to visiting this park. Do they still have Wolves as they aren't listed on the website for some reason.
