No zoo visits, except one to Basel, since June, but I managed to visit the (mildly disappointing) Lisbon zoo today:

75. Javan lutung
76. Japanese macaque
77. Red-tailed monkey
78. Black-tufted marmoset
79. Black howler-monkey

One tick today, so I have now seen all extant primate families :)

80. Spectral tarsier s.l.

I expect only 2 more additions this year, both coming Friday ;)

80. Spectral tarsier s.l.

Are these permanently on-show at ouwehands these days? I heard about a few people seeing it during the summer, but I believe those were all just very short "temporary" openings of the exhibit so it could get acclimatized to people. I've not heard anything about the exhibit actually opening. Also, are the cuscuses still there?

The building was open the whole afternoon (I only arrived at noon...), without any supervision, but as all the signs of tarsiers outside have been removed, I was the only person to enter the building.... The cuscus is still there and immensely active throughout the afternoon. The tarsier can be trickier to spot as there are some really dark corners and it sits silent for prolonged periods....

2 additions became 4, as I could sneak in a visit to Artis before flying out of Amsterdam, though I missed 3 of the 5 possible additions there...

Burgers Zoo
81. Dusky leaf monkey
82. Golden-bellied mangabey

Artis
83. Black spider monkey
84. Grey-handed night monkey

This will really be it for the year though :p

Seems Apenheul was quite populair the last few days among ZooChatters and I also visited this collection yesterday :). A good number of new species for the 2017-ch

@vogelcommando, you labelled the tarsier #66 but had already reached #68 on page 8! :D
I believe it should have been #69, and have listed it as such on this list.

I believe some members are still lacking a lot of species on their lists, so even though we're approaching the end of the year, the game's not over!

@TheWalrus, ungulates was the worldwide challenge last year, so we honestly didn't even consider it for this year, as having the same challenge twice right after each other wouldn't be fun for most people! We all have our preferences ;)

So, just a small addition...

Randers Regnskov:

Pretty pleased with that so far! :)

Also, if we're noting hybrids then the Spider Monkeys at the Isle of Wight Zoo are also hybrids.

Quick trip to Chessington World of Adventures on one of its 'Zoo Days' today (11/11/17) gave me:

36) Lac Alaotra Gentle Lemur (Hapalemur Alaotrensis)
37) Western Lowland Gorilla (Gorilla Gorilla)
38) Black-Headed Spider Monkey (Ateles Fusciceps)

I believe the Spider Monkeys were Fusciceps but cannot find a clear source.

Was also hoping to see the Pygmy Marmosets but found out they were in the childrens zoo section and so felt it would be a bit odd to go there without a child XD

The spider monkeys at Chessington are indeed fusciceps, the only other 'black' spider monkeys kept in the UK are the red-faced at London.
