1 January 2018. 2320 hours. Alaska.
Temperature 7F, Winds NE at 35 MPH.

1) Common Raven. Unsurprisingly so.

Anybody’s guess whether the Red or Arctic Fox will be my first Mammal this year....saw several of both last year/yesterday...time, as it is want to do, will tell.

Probably tomorrow when the winds are forecasted to lay down a bit.

A species I don't often see, and have never seen in my garden before just decided to show up!

BIRDS:
44) Short-toed treecreeper, Certhia brachydactyla

Despite travelling more than 200 kilometers yesterday I only had three additions since it was already dark when I did so. My fist bird being the most common species in the Netherlands, a common blackbird.
