On-road to Marrakesh which generally brings me quite some birds but I only have one species to add yet, although I cannot complain since said species is rare in Morocco (and very rare in the region I'm at):
28 - Common raven, Corvus corax
There were also tons of stonechats, I've never seen so many of them. I will try and get the other local species which I cannot really get in Agadir tomorrow.
These birds arrived back from migration. I can now hear their wonderful songs everywhere (that will become annoying later in the year:Went birdwatching today:

It's been very cold in the Netherlands over the last week, rarely reaching temperatures above zero, but managed to find some more birds nonetheless.66. White Wagtail (Motacilla alba)
67. Northern Pintail (Anas acuta)
68. Smew (Mergellus albellus)
69. Common Redshank (Tringa totanus)
70. Eurasian Oystercatcher (Haematopus ostralegus)
71. Common Goldeneye (Bucephala clangula)
I'm not entirely sure of the total, but I imagine it's around the 350 mark, and there's about 700 recorded from the island (and about 10 of those records are mine). Of the lifers in my last post, one was a cardinal fish I just happened upon, one was seen in an area I haven't dived before, and the Black Leopard Wrasse was actually a juvenile - I haven't seen the adult.Pretty amazing that after 100 dives you still regularly see lifers. How many fish species have you seen on Christmas Island (and how many more to go)
Wait, a Hooded Robin is an actual thing? I though it was just a character in The Super Mario Brothers Super Show! cartoon.112. hooded robin
Got really close to one of these at school today:These birds arrived back from migration. I can now hear their wonderful songs everywhere (that will become annoying later in the year:
Birds
32. Red-Winged Blackbird Agelaius phoenicus

Hmm, yes indeed. Somehow I only put you up to six mammals despite your last mammal post having six and seven in it!Pretty sure I should be on 7 mammals![]()

6. Bank Vole, Myodes glareolus
7. Wood Mouse, Apodemus sylvaticus
