This is excellent news! If it goes on exhibit I may have to run out to San Pascual. The park had its first Black Footed Cat born. A male named Oscar
I did not see it on their website or Facebook or Twitter, but finally found it on their Instagram. Based on the photo the kitten appears to already be about two months old. Does anyone know if it is currently on exhibit. I will tag the locals from San Diego in case they know @betsy @Otter Lord @ZooGirlSD @timmychompchompThe park had its first Black Footed Cat born. I contacted the zoo directly and found out the kitten is NOT on exhibit. @John Marchwick why would you assume it is? If you don't know for sure then you should not make potentially false posts based on an assumption.Yeah it’s on exhibit

Hmmm, my apologies then. Obviously the staff are not in sync because I was told by them (via their online contact form) it is not on exhibit.Because I contacted the park on Instagram and said they had been putting it on exhibit recently.
Through July 30 the park will stay open until 8pm on Mondays and Tuesdays.
Maybe the reason is precisely because Monday and Tuesday are slow days and they are trying to get more people to visit the park on those days? What an odd choice. I wonder what the logic for choosing Mondays and Tuesdays is, as surely weekends are busier and could benefit more from extended hours.
After further research, I have found that the two were transferred to the Taronga Western Plains Zoo. They may have been surplus animals and were not going to be recommended to be bred.On a recent ZOONOOZ post: Pride Matters, it mentions that they still have two of the Lion cubs from the 2014 litter, Ernest and Miss Ellen. However, it does not mention where the other two females, Evelyn and Marion, are. Does anybody know where they may have gone?
