A nice little American duck near Ghent got me to very briefly leave my house for the first time since this weekend. Didn't get great views, and because of the strict measures in Belgium I only stayed outside for about 15 minutes, but it was a nice little break from sitting inside all day. A great species, as well!

BIRDS:
147) Green-winged teal, Anas carolinensis

:)

@Najade Yes, #157. Ashy-belly is also known as the Pale White-eye. I'll have photos to put up next week (or the week after).

Totally missed it for some reason.

How much longer do you have up there? And any more targets you’re planning to look for?

I'm in Kuranda today, Cairns tomorrow, then back home in Sydney on Saturday. Have a few targets left, but as it's been bucketing down each night, I don't think I'll get any more.

Yeah, rains can be pretty annoying up there. No luck with bettongs or possums?

Here in Italy we are blocked in our houses, so we have to do birdwatching from our windows and terraces.
Today I was able to spot two nice species.

19. European Serin, Serinus serinus
20. Blue Rock-Thrush, Monticola solitarius

I also saw what seemed to be two Blackcaps (a male and a female) but I want to see them another time to be completely sure.

Nah, been too wet for anything. Was hoping for Striped Possum but I'll get it next time I'm up here - hopefully later this year or sometime next year.
