Are These in Captivity?

@MizzB Have you checked the Zoochat gallery ?

You can just type in the name of a species into the search bar and it will come up with pictures of the animal at different zoos and it saves people time answering the question on this thread.

To answer your question though, yes, both are kept in captivity in many zoos around the world although to a far lesser extent than many other bird South American species such as macaws, trumpeters or sun bitterns.
No I haven’t checked the gallery.

With some zoos in lesser visited parts of the world by zoochatters (I think some of the Central American countries beneath Mexico like Nicaragua, Honduras and El Salvador would come into that category) it is quite hard to find information in the gallery or the forum though.

Aquarium of the Pacific also has Guam Kingfishers but I don't know the exact number
Also this chat should mainly be used if you can't find them in media or on a website like zootierliste
Yes, exactly. Oarfish are something acceptable to ask, since we have no media on zoochat of them as far as I know, and they are not listed on zootierliste. Hope this helps. :)

Are there any butterflies of the genus Lasippa in captivity? Particularly the burmese lascar? A butterfly species I had always known about but never really thought about when it comes to zoos. And zootierliste doesn't list any invertebrates.

I'm pretty sure they do turn up in the aquarium trade, abeit rarely. I would imagine that they are in public aquariums, but I'm not 100% sure.

I would doubt any are in public aquariums. The small, shyer species like gobies and blennies are relatively uncommon in most public aquariums in North America at least. They usually are placed with seahorses or in the mid-sized reef tanks where they are often difficult to see.

@DaLilFishie Been thinking about it more, I don't think I've ever seen a shrimp goby in a public aquarium. (Though I have only visited a few so far) I don't recall any sand-sifting gobies or several other groups of goby either. I've mostly seen Gobiodon coral gobies in public aquariums, plus a few others like Rhinogobiops nicholsii.

On the other hand I've seen at least 30 goby species in the private trade, including at least 10 shrimp gobies of several genera.

I have seen shrimp gobies in public aquaria, but only once. I'm pretty sure I saw a yellow watchman goby once at Reef HQ, in it's own little exhibit with it's symbiotic shrimp.

Are there any One-and-a-half-striped haps in captivity? I don't know, the name popped out at me.
