I am quite happy with what has been a very successful day. I spent the morning looking for inverts, and then went to a swine lagoon (Pond of pig poop), where some ducks and sandpipers that I wanted to see were. It was only 5 minutes from my house, and I'm quite happy I saw the species that I wanted. I am growing fonder and fonder of waterfowl, they are nice to findI did get stopped by the police (This is America), who was wondering what I was taking pictures of, but he just smiled and drove away when I quickly explained I was birding.

Yeah stacks of buttonquail around this season - I assume because it's been so wet. Very hard to get views of any but the LBQs. I hear the other two species a fair bit but keep flushing them with unsatisfying viewsThat’s some good BQs.
How/when/where was the Ningbing Falsie? And did you get a picture?

yes i saw that wary sad. tho i think thre is at lest two birds flying around in the north atlanticIt seems that, on Monday April 26th, the albatross in question (which has also turned up in Britain in past years) was seen being attacked by up to nine white-tailed eagles and has probably been killed.

Had to wait a few days before posting this one because of invertebrate identification process. A rather dull day at Tamri last Sunday (at least terms of species number) still got me a nice year addition that I was afraid on missing out as well as many inverterbrates of which I got some identified:
