Just double checked my invertebrate list; I don’t seem to have posted the scientific name of the Speckled Wood , Pararge aegeria (41); more seriously I had not posted a number 32! Mind you, I also have not yet listed Large White (Pieris brassicae), so that solves that one. To confirm, I am currently on 46, and, with the current weather forecast, not likely to up that for several days!

A few from more species from some quick birding over the weekend.

73. Bonaparte’s Gull, Chroicocephalus philadelphia
74. Barn Swallow, Hirundo rustica
75. American Coot, Fulica americana
76. Killdeer, Charadrius vociferus
Species seen around my local area in the last month, nothing too crazy but some nice species.

I double counted Tundra Swan accidentally so I should've been on 75 birds instead of 76.

78. Northern Flicker, Colaptes auratus
79. Chipping Sparrow, Spizella passerina

I went to a nearby park that normally is very good for birds, but at pretty much the wrong time. I still have some nice new bird and invert additions.

Birds:
44. Hermit Thrush (Catharus guttatus)
45. Cooper’s Hawk (Accipiter cooperii)
46. Yellow-rumped Warbler (Setophaga coronata)
47. White-Throated Sparrow (Zonotrichia albicollis)
49. Chipping Sparrow (Spizella passerina)

Insect/Invertebrate:
35. House centipede (Scutigera coleoptrata)
36. Yellow sac spider (Cheiracanthium inclusum)
37. Spotted lady beetle (Coleomegilla maculata)
38. Narrow headed marsh fly (Helophilus fasciatus)
39. Six-spotted green tiger beetle (Cicindela sexguttata)
40. Eastern carpenter bee (Xylocopa virginica)

(Note: The invert number is down by one because, as I am somehow neck-and-neck with @Tetzoo Quizzer, 'Common Earthworm' should not count as I didn't have it verified)

Mammal:

6. White-Tailed Deer (Odocoileus virginianus)

Birds:
49. House Wren (Troglodytes aedon)
50. Great Blue Heron (Ardea herodias)
51. Palm Warbler (Setophaga palmarum)
52. Common Yellowthroat (Geothlypis trichas)
53. Veery (Catharus fuscescens)
54. Eastern Towhee (Pipilo erythrophthalmus)

Insect/Invertebrate:
41. Monarch butterfly (Danaus plexippus)
42. Red Admiral butterfly (Vanessa atalanta)
43. Asiatic wall jumping spider (Attulus fasciger)
44. American dog/wood tick (Dermacentor variabilis)

To clarify:
Fish:
2
Herptiles:
2 reptiles, 1 amphibian
Birds:
I accidently skipped 48 previously, Chipping sparrow is actually 48 and House wren is 49

Spotlighting at Bunyip State Park. Lots of animals but nothing new.

Mammals
35. Common wombat Vombatus ursinus
36. Sambar deer Rusa unicolor

Quick little side-trip after work to check the place out. Never been before even though it’s quite close.
Also I’m back to working from home starting on Wednesday so maybe I can at least swing a day trip somewhere interesting in the foreseeable future *fingerscrossed*

Schwafheimer Meer

Birds
5. European Reed Warbler (Acrocephalus scirpaceus)

Another quick trip after work. Only one lifer. No luck with Tree Pipit or Ring Ouzel, but nice views of a couple Whinchats.

Oberhausen Neue Mitte

Birds
6. Woodlark (Lullula arborea)

In the last week or so I've had numerous very successful birding session with many great species seen, all in the local area. One obvious highlight is the stone-curlew, a lifer, that was found in my local patch. A fantastic species that I've wanted to see for a very long time - and it was my 300th bird species, so that's cool.

Other highlights include multiple great sighting of many migrants, including some of my personal favourites like whiskered tern, golden oriole and wood warbler. All things considered a very productive week in terms of birds!

Birds
196. Whiskered Tern, Chlidonias hybrida
197. Temminck's stint, Calidris temminckii
198. Wood Warbler, Phylloscopus sibilatrix
199. Eurasian Stone-curlew, Burhinus oedicnemus
200. Whinchat, Saxicola rubetra
201. Eurasian Hobby, Falco subbuteo
202. Garden Warbler, Sylvia borin
203. Common Cuckoo, Cuculus canoris
204. Eurasian Golden Oriole, Oriolus oriolus
205. Eurasian Reed Warbler, Acrocephalus scirpaceus

Intervertebrates

Worms

18. Common Earthworm (Lumbricus terrestris)

I have Seen him crawling arround, but a Common Blackbird has found a easy meal.....
