Burgers' Zoo free-ranging species in Burgers Bush, Desert and Mangrove

man, I hope then take a new couple of crowned cranes on the exhibit. It allways looked so nice, and they had quite a large area to roam.

It looks nice, but keeping birds needlessly wing-clipped is not a practice I think zoos should support. The pelicans, if they are pinioned, need to live out their lives flightless anyway so the Safari exhibit is okay for them.

I'll finally be able to visit Burgers again in two weeks. Finally going to try and find some free-rangers!

I'll take the maps with me and give updates on the species I found

Is the scaled quail still held in desert? ZooTierListe doesn't list them anymore
The last of these have indeed moved to Walsrode. The only quail species in the Desert is now the Gambel's quail. However, they want to introduce a second quail species in the Desert in time.

Does anyone know in which tanks the fish of Mangrove are kept

(Which ones in the Crab/saltwater tank, and which ones in the Manatee/Freshwater tank)

It has signage at the basins :) So whenever you plan on visiting you could snatch a pic :D

Fair enough, but I'm trying to make a map with all the species in their correct tanks before going to Burgers. Because like some sort of madman I'm going to try and find every species

I looked through zootierliste for a while and found a few more species that are said to be found in Mangrove. Haven't seen them mentioned here yet, but ZTL isn't always accurate (it also still lists foureye fish in Mangrove)

Is this outdated info from ZTL or is it a little outdated from this thread? (Mainly the aquatic animals)

Say, does anyone know what actually happened to the Sutchi catfish that was moved from the old Mangrove hall to the Bush?
