Species that you would like to see in UK zoos

Seeing as Marwell now has an empty leopard enclosure, it could be nice to see some kind of small cat go in it.
Jaguar could be good, though perhaps a small cat could work as well. [e.g. Ocelot, Clouded Leopard]
Could also be nice to see such animals as Babirusa or Takin return - but I'm not sure where in the zoo they could go..

I have seen olingos at Exmouth and Kilverstone. I suspect that Hamerton could house olingos, although I think Todd Dalton would be more likely to obtain them.

More spotted hyenas in UK zoos would be nice (particularly in the North West - I've always thought Knowsley would have space for them).

Doesn’t apply to OP’s question though, as they already exist in a handful of UK collections.

I'd love to see some UK zoos keep pangolins, I was surprised to find out how few zoos actually keep them, not just in Europe but worldwide. With how critically endangered pangolins are you'd think there'd be a much larger presence in zoos for captive breeding, unless they're a hard species to look after.

Shoebill immediately comes to mind, I think they would work at Chester or one of the Wetland Centres (probably Slimbridge).
I too would like to see shoebill in the UK.

London Zoo was the first zoo in the world to exhibit shoebills (in 1860); it would be great if they were on show in London again.

Since this thread has been revived and I missed it the first time I'll throw in my suggestion. ;) It's a tough one, biggies I'd like to see would be Kagu, Marbled Cat, Marbled Polecat, or a pangolin species to name a few, but if I had to choose any species then it would have to be Side-striped Jackal.
