I was worried for the gorillas. It could’ve turned the other way and the dog could’ve gotten aggressive at them. Not to mention the possible disease risk being exposed to a stray canine might do.

A single dog isn't going to win against a gorilla.
Well, the article states that 2 domestic dogs were loose on the park grounds but only one jumped into the gorilla exhibit.

A word of advice, after watching many other over-eager new members on this site make frequently low-quality posts, then having other more experienced members complain about their posts, leading them to eventually leave the site, you really don't need to 'contribute something'. I suggest trying to stick to making comments when you have something relevant and useful to add, as well as trying to write in a slightly more formal manner. Trust me, you will be much better received and Zoochat will be made better for it in the long run.

I posted something here that was meant for Brookfield and I got embarrassed. Don’t worry, I think before I post most of the time. This was a rare blunder.
On June 15th, it was announced the zoo acquired a (0.1) southern pudu from the Los Angeles Zoo in California.

On June 18th, it was reported that the dog (whose name is Meatball) has been reclaimed by its owner this week.

I’m assuming the Kiwis are behind the scenes? Excellent to hear the wildlife alliance still keeps them after they were removed from the zoo.

With renovations happening to their current exhibit, the safari park will temporarily have 4:2 Okapis from the San Diego Zoo.
There were only 2.1 okapi at SDZ (Zuri, Toby, and Subira). The Safari Park now holds 4.3 okapi (the SDZ trio, Nanoki, Mpangi, Mbaya, and Mahameli).
Will the duikers be moved here as well?
They’re now 3 female African lions at the San Diego Zoo Safari Park! The park posted a video of them on Facebook!
Edit: just learned they actually have 3 female lions not 2. I only saw 2 in the video on Facebook which is why I had said 2 before.

It’s actually a trio of sisters! All coming from Caldwell Zoo: Malika, Zuri, and Amira
Just saw the announcement on Twitter like a minute ago 
Females Malika, Zuri and Amira have arrived from the Caldwell Zoo.
They are great granddaughters of Izu.
