Things people do that irritate you when you go to the zoo? #2

Was at the Greensboro Science Center today. As I was at Pygmy Hippo, a family stops behind me looking out at the other of the boardwalk and staring at the small pond back there. A girl (at least 13 yrs. old) tells her brother, "That's where they capture all the fish for the aquarium." And then the family walks away. I just stood there confused trying to figure out the reason for this statement.

Sounds to me like a joke.

Wait, they have pygmy hippos at a science center?

Calling the pygmy marmosets baby monkeys.
Calling wildbeest bison.
A lady at kolmården said that the zoo was lazy since they had "horses" and "long-haired cows" and not real wild animals in the central asian enclosure. She was reffering to wild yaks and kulans.
