I also visited Call of the Wild Zoo today, but really don't think it counts as a new zoo, as it is on the same site as tropical wings! It would be like trying to claim 'the new Bristol Zoo' isn't the same as wild place improved, which is all it really will be!

Well, as it turns out, I visited the Bear Mountain Trailside Museums and Zoo when I was younger (yet I somehow remembered to include Tortugranja).
Total: 60
And the 60th facility I visited was the Milwaukee County Zoo last year. Onwards to 70!
 
Since I voted in this poll back before my very productive string of zoo visiting in late 2021, I'm now sitting in the 50-99 category rather than 25-49.

*Georgia Aquarium is borderline because I don’t remember any part except the famous giant whale shark/manta ray tank, but since it’s such a well-known exhibit and for most people the highlight of the aquarium I counted it here.

Something that struck me while making a comprehensive list of where I’ve been is that I have seen very few aquariums, especially in recent years. I’ve only been to 6 standalone aquariums since joining the forum (not counting DWA, which is a different kind of facility IMO). I attribute that mainly to two things: 1) not spending a lot of time in coastal areas outside of southern California, and 2) prioritizing zoos over aquariums when given the choice because zoos are generally cheaper.
