On August 12th, the zoo announced that starting in September, they will be renovating the Sea Lion Splash exhibit including increased indoor space, increased seating capacity, and making the exhibit ADA accessible. The exhibit will reopen again by March 2023.

On September 26th, the zoo announced they acquired a (0.1) dwarf crocodile (species not specified) named Lua which is now on exhibit in the Africa area.
