On May 25th, the zoo announced they renovated their cow statue, named Big Cow, and will be back at the Farmyard area on May 26th.

Two New Black-Handed Spider Monkeys Arrive at CT's Beardsley Zoo
The new additions, both female Black-handed spider monkeys (Ateles geoffroyi geoffroyi) from Montgomery Zoo in Alabama, joined their new troop in the spider monkey habitat this week.
Bertha, 30 years old, and Janet, 16 years old, have successfully been introduced to the Zoo’s current eight-year-old male spider monkey, Gilligan, and TT, a 22-year-old female.

Alfred one of two Andean bears that recently arrived was humanely euthanized due to extreme old age after a medical exam showed he was in kidney failure.
That is sad news. Do you know the age, sex, and name of the remaining bear? I didn’t even know that a transfer had already occurred, as it hadn’t been reported on earlier in this thread.

Thanks for your help. I did some more research looking at the North America Andean Bear Population thread, and it seems like she was born in 2002.
Come spring, the Zoo will reveal some upgrades to the prairie dog exhibit. Some include features to resemble a gold mine, interactive educational signs, and replaced plexiglass.
