To make it ADA compliant, they redid all the seating, and they repainted everything. They also expanded the sea lion holding pen to twice as big as before to give the animals and trainers more room to work.

The young Black-crested Mangabey LUMI has just joined its family, after have been hand-reared in its early life.

I found out today on the zoo's Facebook page that the cats are 1 year old brothers called "Russet" and "Yukon".

What is the current health status of this cow elephant?

Any news on how the African elephant herd in Kansas City is doing? The old female guard Lady (born 1968, the only cow to breed previously) and the group (Lea, Lois, Megan and Tattoo - all 1978) have been around for decades and the last older cow Zoey (born 1984) arrived in October 2007. How is male Tamani doing with the 2 immigrant ladies Christie and Zuri?
