Pheasants in general are extremely common in zoos. They are particularly common outside the AZA but are not uncommon within the AZA, either. Are pheasants in general not so common in zoos? They seem like they would be relatively popular given how colorful the males are and how many are likely easy to keep.

New world grouse seem like they would be a good choice. Pheasants in general are pretty low-key and colorful.Golden, Lady Amherst, Silver, Chinese Blue Quail, and Indian Peafowl seem to be some of the most common. Different tragopans, junglefowl, eared, and various Lophura and Syrmaticus are all around to varying degrees of commonality. New World quails, Green Peafowl, and grouse are all available as well, with some of the quails being most common.
