Speculative Zoo Species List Help

Two species I would also suggest including would be the Chinese crocodile lizard and the Chinese water dragon.
 
I'm doing some Zoo revisions so here are some of my questions. I'm looking for AZA species;
  • What are some arid-adapted Papuan (mainly from Papua) birds that can be housed outdoors in a mixed species aviary?
  • What are some Hawaiian birds that are compatible in an aviary with breeding flocks of Nene and Laysan Teal?
  • What are Oceanian elasmobranth species are compatible in a "shipwreck" aquarium?
  • Are any specific species compatible in a Vanuatu Seascape tank having; Ambon Cleaner Shrimp Lysmata amboinensis, Blackback Anemonefish Amphiprion melanopus, 0.0.2 Bubble-tip Anemone Entacmaea quadricolor, Flame Angelfish Centropyge loriculus, Pyramid Butterflyfish Hemitaurichthys polylepis, Ternate Damselfish Amblyglyphidodon ternatensis, and Whitespotted Surgeonfish Acanthurus guttatus

Black-necked Stilts are the only birds that I found which meet your criteria.

King Quail, Zebra Dove and Chestnut-breasted Mannikin could work.

I'm doing even more Zoo revisions so here are some of my questions. I'm looking for mainly AZA species (though if they are in the US/easy to import into the US, I'll take suggestions from them);
  • Falkland Islands Indoor Animals, specifically the aquatic parts
  • A brackish mangrove tank with Australasian species, will hopefully have reptiles, fish, and invertebrates (amphibians if possible)
  • Best entrance amphibian that's an Australasian island endemic (hopefully moves a lot)
  • Any other arid-adapted Australasian entrance animals (for outside), they should be loud, moves a lot, and colorful (these can be stretched)

Any type of parakeet (especially rosellas) or cockatoo, maybe together with Australian Brushturkeys
 
What about these? I decided to do some planning for my entire Zoo, not just the part I was working on. All of these are outdoors but there is terrarium space;
  • the Sahara and the Sahel
  • the Horn of Africa deserts
  • South African deserts
 
For a future addition to one of my preexisting threads, what are some large, arid-adapted birds that can tolerate the outdoors in a temperate environment?

Preferably, I'm looking for mainly AZA species that are typically found from any part of the world with a significant desert (sans Antarctica).

Very Large: North African Ostrich, Emu, Greater Rhea
Most arid birds of prey would work
Other: guineafowl, kori bustards, ground hornbill, various pigeons, greater roadrunner, etc.

Is there any specific focus on any deserts?

Egyptian Cobra and Desert Horned Viper are two herps that come to mind for the Sahara, though uromastyx and pancake tortoise could also be included. I’ve found through my own research that African invertebrates aren’t all that common in captivity, though maybe I’m just not looking hard enough.

What about for a building with various “oasises” with outdoor enclosures. I need help with okavango delta, lake Chad and Nile River
 
Hippopotamus and Nile Crocodile would work as larger species for the Nile River, as well as Nile monitor and birds such as Saddle-billed Stork, Sacred Ibis, and Egyptian Goose. Could even include African Lungfish, Nile Perch (not the most likely given only 1 US holder) and/or Nile Tilapia for some aquatic life.
 
I‘m searching for for birds that can live together with the following crane species (my ideas for crane aviaries always look the same : a subspecies of Ring-necked Pheasant, Northern Shoveler, Eurasian Wigeon, Red-breasted Goose, Common Wood Pigeon and Little Egret)

• White-naped Crane (Antigone vipio)
• Black-necked Crane (Grus nigricollis)
• Hooded Crane (Grus monacha)
• Common Crane (Grus grus)

After some quick research. I added the area and/or habitat I took a look at between brackets.
  • White-naped crane: Swan goose [Northeastern China wetlands]
  • Black-necked crane: Bar-headed goose, Tufted duck, Common merganser [Wetlands of the Tibetan Plateau]
  • Hooded crane: Mandarin duck, Baikal teal, Eastern spot-billed duck, Eurasian wigeon, Northern pintail [Wintering grounds in Izumi, Kagoshima Prefecture, Kyushu, Japan]
  • Common crane: Garganey, Eurasian teal, Eurasian curlew [Eurasian boglands]
