Singapore Zoo Singapore Zoo News 2025

Are the African dwarf crocodile and alligator snapping turtles still at the zoo, perhaps moved back off-display?

Does anybody know what the Reptopia backstage event is like? It’s quite expensive and I’ve been considering whether to give it a try.

This video might be the best look at it? It's also a decently entertaining watch

I've seen promotional Mandai videos of allowing guests to pet snakes (allegedly even something like the Moellendorff's Trinket Snake), but I cannot confirm if that still goes on

Also the new Herpetology Curator seems to like Monitor Lizards, with recent acquisitions of Mindanao Water Monitors (Varanus cumingi), and new breeding pairs of Blue Tree and Crocodile Monitors. Mandai now has 7 species of Monitors in its care.

emerald tree monitor (Varanus prasinus)
Asian water monitor (Varanus salvator)
blue-tailed monitor (Varanus doreanus)

The last one is Komodo dragon or another monitor?
