Longleat Safari & Adventure Park sealions

does anyone know any information about the sealions at longleat.
like date of birth,parents,children. i would be very greatful.

The colony is currently eight strong, two being young pups

Not sure whether the female Coral still resides at the park.

Buster and 2 females came from a wildlife park in Scotland. Some of the young males were sent to Blair Drummond a few years ago.

Getting dates of births from zoo animals is very difficult unless you E-mail the collection in question. You can usually get a rough estimate though using there age if you know it.

No Laddie the famous escapee of Longleat's half mile lake is dead and she had a daughter who also died a couple of years ago. It was the 1980's that she made her bid for freedom.

When I visited in early July Nancy was alive and well in Half Mile Lake. She is there oldest Sealion but is still in very good health.

APAB animal training company have four sea lions born at longleat about five years ago one of them is at a them park called pleasure island in cleethorpes.

Her daughter was called Lindy. She was put down several years ago due to mouth cancer.

jojo's daughter sienna is at dublin zoo and gave birth on 13th june 2009. the pup iws a female and has been named florence.

I have a feeling that 'Sealia' is possibly 'Celia' a pup born to 'Pru' at the Welsh Mountain Zoo in around 1981. Have to have a look for dates as the paper I wrote at the time has gone off line:

I noted on Animal Park there was an animal called 'Nancy'. She was born in a German collection and spent some months with me at Woburn before going to Longleat.

Zook the sealion gave birth to her third pup last week. It's a boy and he has been named Riley. Baby sea lion set to be a hit at Longleat (From Wiltshire Times)
