I am now recieving Weekly zoo updates so i will keep everyone up to date on whats happeneing at Adelaide, i will give yuo what has happened between the 18 Oct and 1 Nov first
BIRDS
+ Cormorants nesting high up in tall tea tree in the Wet-lands Aviary.
+ Several visible White-headed Pigeon nests in the Rainforest Walk-through aviary.
+ Stilt chicks should be visible in the Botanics Aviary.
+ Curlew chicks in the Botanics aviary.
+ Lots of young Gouldian Finch chicks in the Parrot Block.
+ Crimson Chats in Parrot Block with chicks.
+ The Laughing Kookaburras in the Owl Block have chicks toward the rear left.
REPTILES
+ Female Mata Mata has passed away
+ 3 water dragons now on display in Reptile House
MAMMALS
18th
+ Lemurs went to Monarto, replaced by Colobus who will be on display in old Lemur exhibit
+ Brazilian Tapir Tiquie gone to Taronga
+ White-cheeked Gibbons: Zoo watch continuing to monitor adjustments to escape routes for Remus!
+ Pusung and Karta (Orangs)have now both had a turn on exhibit with Siamangs
+ Golden lion tamarin born last Friday – can be seen riding on family members’ backs.
+ Work in Pygmy marmosets has started – animals to go out hopefully next week.
24th
+ White-Cheeked Gibbon “Remus†is doing well. He seems to be staying on the island as required.
+ The Orangutan/Siamang mixed exhibit is going well. Zoo watch still running.
+ The 3 Ring Tailed Lemurs have moved up to Monarto. “Hoss†managed to injure his arm and is wearing a splint, he has also had his ‘man-boobs’ (fat pads) removed whilst under anaesthetic. These three will be introduced to the 4 young males at Monarto.
+ Black and White Colobus “Mkasu†arrived from Monarto and is residing in the exhibit that the Lemurs have vacated.
+ The giraffes are both doing very well, using the yard more fully.

+ Bongo arrived – awaiting yard finishing before going on display
+ Both giraffes displaying really well now
