I am visiting in July and there is some news from the park's website:

A group of 7 Emu have arrived,5 youngsters and an adult couple sexes could not be identified,There enclosure is between the Asia and Europe section.

The 2 Black Tailed Rattlesnake's have been put together in an attempt to mate.

3 more Dromendary Camel's have joined the collection Rubia and Maria are 16 year old female's and Nine is a one month old male.

A baby Capuchin has been born and is now 5 weeks old.

Kali the baby Bengal Tiger has grown her first teeth.
I will try and keep you updated and i will post pictures when i go:)

The two baby chital (Axis axis), named by their caregivers with the name and Aqenya Pumuckl, born a few days and roam the grasslands of nature and animal park Terra Natura Benidorm. The two females gave birth with only two days apart, since this species is to synchronize their deliveries and give birth at the same time for the herd to better address the care of newborns.

While Pumuckl is perfectly adapted to the new environment and interacts with the rest of the pack, Aqenya does the opposite. Instinctively, this female chital tends to hide in some parts of the prairie and only seeks contact with his mother for food. His attitude does not fearful remain broadly with the rest of the pack.

With these two births, chitales group that lives in Terra Natura Benidorm and has 22 in total, 12 males and 10 females.

Caregivers of nature and animal park Terra NaturaBenidorm have moved to Kali , the Asian tiger breeding who was born five months ago, its new facility. The small specimen has remained at the clinic until the complex has been prepared for change. Before completing the transfer, the experts confirmed that the tiger was in perfect condition and had already reached the recommended age to move to a larger area installation.

The park has welcomed 10 Scarlet Ibis.

Two Pygmy Marmosets have been born to first time parents Tom and Lili.

Review

This is my review of Terra Natura Benidorm from my visit (29/07/11):

I arrived at 1.00 PM to find the place virtually empty, I headed into the volcano the equivalant of a Reptile House a very quiet dark place alot of nice species and a few new one's for me, I saw the following:

Puff Adder
Gaboon Viper
Forest Cobra
Mexican black-tailed Rattlesnake
Curucu Toad
Gila Monster
Western Diamondback Rattlesnake [albino]
Mato grosso giant Tarantula
Eyelash Viper

Can anybody ID the one's below?

After the volcano we decided to go to the American section, at the entrance of the American section is two bird enclosures home to six Greater Flamingoes and three Greater Rhea.

Terra Natura's calitrichid display is similiar to Chester Zoo's in style there were; Cotton top Tamarins, Emperor Tamarins and Golden headed Lion Tamarin.

Heading into the aviary is the Park's collection of Macaws. In the aviary are over 20 species of bird but I only saw five;

-Boat billed Heron
-Maguari Stork
-Wood Duck
-Sun Conure
-Emerald Dove

At the exit of the aviary is an enclosure home to a African Rock Python.

The most intresting bit in the American section is the Mammal section their has been a few changes here since my last visit;

-Bush Dogs are no longer part of the collection a single Red-footed Tortoise is now in there enclosure.
-Collared Peccaries now down to 4.
-Ocelots are now back together.
-There has been some plantation work in the Jaguar enclosure.

There is also a walkthrough domestic animal area home to;Mara, Llama and Pygmy Goats.

After exiting the American section, I headed towards the Asia section which in my mind is the best part of Terra Natura!

Part of the Elephant enclosure has been made into a Dromendary Camel and Asian Water Buffalo enclosure, their were four Dromendaries and sixteen Asian Water Buffalo.

Luka the bull Elephant was with two females, another two females (Looked pretty old speciemens!)were seperate from the three.

There are now two Muntjac Deers, a handreared female arrived early in the year to join the male.

A new enclosure has been built for a single Rock Eagle Owl.

0:1 Sumatran Tiger doing fine. :)

A very nice looking albino Burmese Python:p

No sign of Asian Lion breeding. :(

A male Gaur has moved to the Nilgai and Chital Deer enclosure.

Kali the Bengal Tiger cub has moved to the Lar Gibbon enclosure.

Nisha and Shiwa the Rhinos were kept seperate from Nico the bull no sign of breeding there too.

A single Saltwater Crocodile is now in the old Pelican/Otter enclosure.

Zebu and Vietnam Pig now in Kaziranga reserve.

The Bengal Tigers were all sleeping and a pair were mating, the Bengal Tigers are 2:4 hybrids.

Cassowaries no longer part of the collection Rhea are now in their enclosure.

Any questions please ask, all in all a very nice visit!:D

Thanks for this review Jordan-Jaguar97.

I saw muntjac in my two visits, last in 2007.
Just a question, are the blackbucks in the elephants prairie too?

The Blackbuck were at the top of the paddock whilst the Elephants were towards the house, they seemed to be no problem other than Luka the bull Elephant wishing to go indoors (slaming the gate!).

Elephant,s

Am i correct in thinking the Elephant,s here are the ones from Port Lympne ?

Luka the bull was from Port Lympne.

You may be intrested in this- All elephants ever located at Terra Natura theme park, Benidorm in Spain

To that list you can add Rani,Motki,Buria and Pugli, who were the four original cow,s at Port Lympne, wen i was on the Elephant section,Yasmin arrived later when Winsor at Lclosed. The 2 original Bull,s at Lympne where, Assam, who was born in Hanover and Bindu who arrived with the 4 cows, from an elephant market in Bilhar in India. I belive Bindu is now in Germany at Kholn.

The Terra Nova park holds a number of non-breeding females and surely performs a role within the EEP in that respect. Breedingwise it is a non-starter till date, sadly.

Elephant space wise it is fine, but just exemplary of one of the more industrial Mediterranean outdoor zoo parks.

Bindu is indeed 1 of 2 breeding bulls at Koeln Zoo. Doing well, I may add (which surely will please you no end).

Well the cows from Lympne, are getting on in yrs, know Rani and Pugli breed at Lympne. Tis good Bindu is doing well, despite his agression at Lympne at times, there is still something about him that i like, would be good to get over to see him at some point.
