ZooParc de Beauval Zooparc de Beauval News

okay, hopefully they do get them, the zoo seems one of the best in europe and from the pictures i can't really see any bad exhibits from the pics, tho the chinese exhibit seems a bit bland. hopefully i'll visit in the near future:)

Could all that expense and Chinese theming of the 'Central Installation' be for anything other than Giant Pandas? I can't imagine so somehow. Also they are being deliberately coy about what is going in there too.;)

yes, i agree;), why would you spend a whole load of money on a CHINESE themed exhibit, only not to include Giant Panda, When you could theme it as a Himilayan Exhibit which would be able to include all the animals currently there, and just be able to curve away from Giant Panda. Seems as if zoochatters are the only ones thinking about it:D;)

Is there any further news about the 'Chinese enclosure' that seems to have been built for Giant Pandas?

no news on pandas, but there has been a recent birth to the manatees.

2 Mishmi takin have been born at the zoo, weeks apart, these are the first takin of any species born in France.

From what I've seen in the zoochat gallery Beauval have received their pandas. Correct me if I'm wrong but there are photo's here... ;)

Goodfellows Tree Kangaroo born: First European birth in 2012 and first for the mother who was an import from the USA

Beauval built a big 'Chinese' complex of which the centrepiece was an obvious Giant Panda enclosure, which stayed empty till they arrived a few months ago. Don't know if their arrival received as much publicity(in France) as Edinburgh's did over here.
