11 Day-Old Reticulated Giraffe

Any reason why the baby giraffe is on its own?

@nczoofan No idea, but it was apparently the first day that the baby had been shown to the public.

@snowleopard I don't want to assume, but many un-accredited zoos seem to love pulling animals from their parents, despite it being proven to cause negative effects. This tiny zoo near where I used to live got a giraffe 2 years ago, who was under a month old. No explanation and everyone was so happy to see it in the community, not understanding that it was likely just a financial ploy.

@nczoofan very late to comment but I think they are trying to get it used to being close to people.
