According to the always reliable @MGolka, the 1977 Cat Complex is now a pile of rubble. After 45 years, the building has now been smashed into pieces. At one time there was a grand total of 85 cats in the facility, an extraordinary number and it must have been amazing to see them all back in the day. But, if a zoo like Omaha really wants to become the #1 rated zoological facility in North America, if not the world, then progress is onward and upward and the Cat Complex had seen better days. The good news is that there is now a significant slice of land for the zoo to build another incredible complex featuring different animals.
