It was ok. The tour I signed up for didn't go into any of the large enclosures with free ranging lemurs. I didn't realize there was a different tour for that. I also missed the diademed sifaka (Propithecus diadema) which had passed away a couple years ago. I had tried to visit the site before this happened, but was always told the diademed sifaka wasn't on the tour and was off exhibit. Meanwhile had I just shown up back when, I'm sure it could've been arranged.
Unfortunately most of the lemurs I saw were behind fencing, and not ideal for photography. The small nocturnal building was nice, and I was able to get special permission to take a few photos with flash. In addition to fat-tailed dwarf lemurs, gray mouse lemurs, pygmy slow loris and aye aye could be seen in that building.
Once I got some good photos of the fat-tailed dwarf lemurs, it was totally worth it
