I'm actually not sure. I asked someone that day, but I forget exactly what they said (this was back in June). If I remember correctly these were all injured birds that were either unreleasable or healing. I'd guess they have another enclosure they spend most of their day/night in. In general the Lindsay Wildlife Museum takes in scores of injured animals and nurses them back to health whenever possible.
