3/26/2016 - New Cotton Top Tamarin Exhibit

My thoughts exactly. Functionally, it's alright (although I'm not too sure as I'm no expert in CTT husbandry) but aesthetically it looks nothing like I would imagine or want a cotton top tamarin exhibit to look like!

It looks more like the indoor quarters for a Savannah-dwelling primate, like olive baboons, or patas monkeys.

Hmmm, needs more green...

That is unfortunately a criticism that not only goes to this exhibit, but to most of the rest of the exhibits around the Zoo as well. This Zoo has a pretty large amount of fake rock/concrete in its exhibits, from its bear grottoes, to the back walls of the pachyderm exhibits. I'm hoping this changes as the future plans evolve.

Back on the subject with this tamarin exhibit, it is an improvement in climbing opportunities and space over the previous home in the Small Mammals building. That said, I agree that if some more vegetation and wood chips would replace the concrete floor, that would be a significant, and improved, difference.
