5/20/2018 - Mayan Mural

This art is based on the murals of the Cacaxtla civilization in present day Tlaxcala state, Central Mexico.

These peoples called themselves the "Olmeca-Xicalanca" so did not really identify as "Mayans" but they were settlers who came from the South-East of Mexico and archeologists believe that they may have been from the same ethnic stock as the Mayan peoples.
