Of the 4 African Elephants in this photo, 3 of them are now deceased and the remaining elephant will be sent to another zoo. Monterey Zoo has an opportunity to consider what to do with this 5-acre parcel of land. It will be intriguing to see if the zoo keeps the big paddock for a few ungulates, or turns the space into something else entirely.
