It's been open since 1912 with some renovations in the past so it needs some refurbishments. The bird-collections is a hit or miss with some "rarities" like Bourke's Parrots and Boat-billed herons but all of the aviaries should be updated (though the first one, a Swamp is good). This area in particular, a rainforest is a decent aviary species-wise but the aviary itself is subpar.
