Certainly looks the same shaped cages as the old carnivore row that was up at the top end of the Zoo. I tried to compare with my 'Paignton tigers' postcard of these cages but that isn't quite conclusive, but I still think it is.
The little child is obviously perched on the barrier. You can see its shadow too on her right, below on the wall of the cage. If Paignton, which I think it is, there was definately a traditional barrier for the public.
tre there any plans for a new lion exhibit at Hagenbeck ? From my point of the view, the lion welfare in the current exhibit hasn't really a bright future...
