The first of the two outdoor exhibits for bornean orangutans (Pongo pygmaeus) in Aalborg Zoo.
The Orangutan House opened in 1978 and features four indoor exhibits and two outdoor exhibits.
The future plan is to build a new Asian Tropical house for the orangs and then turn this building into a schoolhouse/petting zoo. Aalborg Zoo is the only zoo in Denmark to keep orang-utans.
