The viewing area for the main aviary in the new Aviaries in Aalborg Zoo. The viewing area is located inside the aviary and ones a lovely panoramic view. The species living in the aviary are:

Violet plantain-eaters (Musophaga violacea)
Purple glossy starling (Lamprotornis purpureus)
White-collared yuhina (Yuhina diademata)
Red-billed quelea (Quelea quelea)
Zebra finch (Taeniopygia guttata)
Diamond dove (Geopelia cuneata)
Crested dove (Ocyphaps lophotes)

The Aviaries opened in 2004 replacing the 20 smaller aviaries from the zoo’s opening (1935).

Toddy does this have glass front to it or is it open? I can't see any mesh,piano wires or even a visible reflection.

It is completely open. I think they don't fly out because it's rather dark inside the public area (same principle as the bird house in Antwerp Zoo), but should any birds escape (I don't think that has ever happened), most of them are rather standard species.
