Africa Live 2 - African Wild Dog

The new exhibits at the zoo (such as the African wild dog and okapi enclosures) all appear to be far too barren and "open" rather than full of trees and bushes. I read that you were disappointed with the new area of the San Antonio Zoo, and I'm not surprised judging from your photos.

I think it will just take time for the trees to grow in. I think this area used to be more stepped hoofstock exhibits.

A bit more foliage would make a vast difference to this enclosure.

I'd give it some time. The exhibit was only open for about 4 days when I went.
