The Lechwe are outside during the WHOLE year ( of course they can use a stable, if they want)and have given birth to youngsters outside, even in high snow, and the calfs are doing very well....The Sitatungas can go in and out also the whole year, night and day, but only in a seperated part of the exhibit without the pool, because one of the calfs used the pool on a very, very cold day in the winter...It survived, but since then, they can use only a seperated part of the exhibit. This little part is bigger than a lot of new elephant exhibits in germany.................
