Does anyone know what the zoo has planned for this outdated exhibit? AZA requirements stipulate that by September 2016 all AZA-accredited zoos must have a minimum of 3 elephants in habitats with space for a herd to operate. Louisville has one Asian and one African in a fairly small and barren paddock, and the zoo will soon have to make a major decision on the future of this exhibit.
