Good, because the Turacos would have killed each other in that size of aviary. Or they already have? The aviary is way too small to house a forth of the species and then only one pair of Turaco.
Last year, a private breeder from a near village offered the zoo a set of birds for a short loan during summer months. All the labeled species (mostly only 1 bird per species) were on show in this aviary last year and in autumn they went back to the breeder, because there is no heated room for them in the zoo. NONE of them died during its stay here.
There was a hope the breeder will loan them also this summer, but when I was there 2 weeks ago, there was only the pigeon inside. I suppose the zoo have to find a new solution for this aviary, probably with some hardy species or would need to build a heated house.

It´s unfortunate that you haven´t asked because I would be also interested what they plan with it.
I still have some minor hope that the private breeder could change his mind and continue to cooperate with the zoo. I think that he maybe suppose that there could be a coincidence between a label with his name and address placed on this aviary and a visit of thefts in his house late last year (they stole some parrots including breeding Pesquet's parrots).
