African bush elephant (Loxodonta africana) specimen, 2021-10-20

Thanks for posting all these very interesting photographs from this museum.

Although I've visited this museum several times, it's along while since I was there last; on my last few visits to Belgium, the museum was closed for refurbishment.

It's good to know that there are still lots of interesting zoological specimens exhibited.

Question please: is the elephant skull with four tusks still on show?

I did not see a four-tusked elephant skull actually, so I don't think they still display it. I think I would probably have noticed and photographed something like that.

The only elephant skull I saw and photographed was that of a female African forest elephant.

@Chlidonias Thank you for the link. I definitely did not see that specimen anywhere, so besides the relatively small chance I missed it, it is probably no longer display.

Also, I took a quick look at the gallery you linked, and it seems there are more interesting fauna specimens that are unfortunately no longer displayed. I still think they have a decent amount of fauna displayed, but there are definitely some species missing that would have been very interesting to see displayed.
