i was told by a keeper that this elephant had a fungal infection or something and it got worse so part of the ear had to be cut. ive seen this elephant for as long as ive been going to roger williams

Yes- Kate is the one with the chunk missing from one ear. It was amputated due to an infection back in the late 80's/early 90's.
