Having 8 acres for the 14 African elephants is hugely impressive, as space is vital for such an enormous species of mammal. Now I just wish that Chester Zoo would expand their puny 2 acres...haha!! Calm down Chester Zoo fans, but every once in a while I like to point out that the enrichment-filled but tiny elephant exhibit at that zoo is already outdated and in need of an expansion. It should be at least 3-4 times larger than what it is, as there are already more than enough elephants for the space provided.
