(Actually I was more impressed by the male Asiatic elephant ’Dahlip’ at Miami; possibly the finest Asiatic elephant I’ve seen since ‘Siam’ in Paris died some years ago.)

Unfortunately, I did not take any photos of the female African elephants at Miami; indeed, I cannot remember seeing them out in the paddock.

I’m sorry I cannot answer that question. I’ve only visited Miami MetroZoo twice; the day I took this photograph and once, many years previously, in 1984. Doubtless somebody from Florida will be able to provide the information you want.
