African Elephant snow day at the Wild Animal Park 12/15/07

Wonderful! What did the elephants make of it? Was it a hot day in California and so they used it to cool themselves down?

They loved it. It wasn't a particularly hot day. Just something they do occasionally (usually in Winter) for animal enrichment. They bury carrots and lettuce and treats like that for them to find too. The elephants at the S. D. Zoo get snow days occasionally too, along with the polar bears.
