I saw a picture of a African forest elephant in a zoo in the Ivory coast yesterday, and now I encounter this! Are these the only African forest elephants in captivity?

The male is in a safari park in western Honshu somewhere. Someone once showed me a database for captive elephants that should have his stats on there.

Other than small ears I am having a hard time telling how this animal is a forest elephant sice her tusks are so short. Her fore head convinces me that she might be a hybrid of some sort.

@PossumRoach She was a diplomatic gift from Burkina Faso. Do forest and bush elephants even overlap in range in the wild? I have never heard of a hybrid.
