What makes this an excellent lion exhibit, besides the huge viewing windows, is the fact that there are zero obvious barriers and a fairly solid immersive experience. The designers have made great use of the hill in the background, and the absence of any fences allows for a fantastic backdrop. It is quite a large habitat, and there are shady areas near the visitor viewing cave.
