This exhibit ends before the distant trees, but there are trees inside the exhibit that are hotwired. This exhibit also extends far to the left and curves around out of view, giving these gorillas a good oppurtunity for privacy.
It is important to recognize that this is one of four different gorilla habitats at the zoo, and Atlanta has more gorillas than any other North American establishment. There are also more orangutans at the zoo than any other North American establishment, thus creating a very ape-friendly atmosphere! Toss in giant pandas and Atlanta is a must-see for all zoo fans, and while there why not tour the planet's largest aquarium?
