Not sure what is going on here, given that this is a species they are not supposed or allowed to breed. Might be fake nesting or nesting that has no chance of succeeding.
I've heard the stories about Sacred Ibis expanding their range in Europe and being somewhat of an invasive species. Is the prohibition on breeding a response to feral/nuisance wild ibis, or is it a breeding recommendation among zoos in the EU?
