@Zoofan15 thank you this is just what I need for my husbandry manual for my wildlife and exhibition cert 3 course. I’ve been hoping to get up there to see the APD, hopefully october.
@Rosheen.1 would be interesting if you could share your findings on the regions wild dog population! It would be awesome to have something like a population list if you could (even if it's not fully complete)
@Jambo@Rosheen.1 I’ve been working on a population list for the region for the past month. I was just waiting on a facility which got back to me on Friday. Once I’ve had time to format the information, I’ll get it up.
@Zoofan15 Hi thank you thank you . fyi as at February 2023, via private com, reliable and lucky timing, 65 APD (AFRICAN WILD DOGS) 30.35.0 in the region but that was pre breeding season. I don’t have any direct contact with anyone working with APD , I’m on the down hill slop of the student husbandry manual for APD .ie due in 4 weeks dec 2023 yikes . So any information would be great .
@Rosheen.1@Jambo You’re welcome. There was 39.35 African wild dog in the region as of October 2023 (verified with all 11 holders). Since creating that list, Altina kindly advised me of details on all their dogs, so scroll down to Post #8 for the revised/up to date population list:
