Elephas Maximus

African wildcat

Have never heard about this place before, before I saw it on Zoochat. But from the pictures it seems like a very species rich zoo, especially on cats. How many animal species do they have ? and can you give us some more information about this zoo.

This does not look "right" for either subspecies of African Wildcat, both of which are rather more gracile than this individual. In point of fact it looks somewhat different to all the F.sylvestris subspecies I am familiar with, so it could be a hybrid of one or more taxa.

--edit---

One possibility which just occurred to me is for this to be a hybrid of wildcat and Amur leopard cat - as this collection does hold the latter taxon. This would explain the atypical markings and the robust morphology of this cat.

I'll soon post a thread about my zoo :) Currently we have more than 350 species.

It's not a hybrid, just a large male in winter fur :)
They produce kittens like this. One of 2008 litter (not my photo!)
